Pinnacle Charter School Goes Solar

Colorado's largest public charter school now is proud to be hosting one of the largest roof top solar arrays on a school in Colorado!  Working with  solar contracting partner Bella Energy, TAC  has completed the installation of a 662 kW  array on two buildings at the schools' campus in Federal Heights.  The array consists of 2,244 solar modules and is estimated to produce 974,376 kilowatts of clean solar electricity in its first year alone, offsetting 43% of the schools' electrical usage.  In it's 30 year expected lifespan the array is expected to prevent 54,034,418 pounds of CO2 from entering our atmosphere! The students at the school are studying a science curriculum that will focus on issues of climate change and energy as they monitor the out put of the new arrays on kiosks in the schools entryway.
